The Clothing Ministry works beside the Highways & By-Ways Ministry to provide clothing for those who cannot afford it. View the current
list of needed items to find out if your donation fits the needs of those receiving help.
The Food Pantry is open Monday-Friday from 9-10am except on holidays. Any Powell resident is eligible to receive food once per month. There is no fee for this service.
In 1984, Preacher Bob arrived in Knoxville with only two changes of clothes and $25. Preacher Tom Coulter helpd Bob get on his feet and Bob met his wife, Mary. In 1987 Highways and By-Ways Ministry was formed. It was formed to help street souls one-on-one under bridges, railroad tracks, local grave yards, and homeless camps in the Knoxville area.
